Step 1: Find a thin, rectangular box. Try looking in the closet or storage room of the office. Check out your own house to see if you have an extra box to use.

Step 2: Tape up one of the long sides of the box with packing tape. Make sure there are no air bubbles and that it is completely sealed off. You don't want any light from your laptop escaping!

Step 3: Lay the box down on top of your screen so it covers about half of it.

Step 4: Lay a blank sheet of paper on top of the box, so you can still see your screen. Voila!

Note: This works best with smaller desks. Be careful when moving around because you don't want to knock it over!

How to Hide a Projector

If you are in an office, then hiding your projector may be very difficult for you, because in an office like this, all employees share the same desk and have no access to their computer screen during work hours.

However, if you are one of the people who has the projector just on your own desk, it is useful to know several methods that can be used to conceal the light from your projector.

Many people use projectors to present their work and it is usually projected onto a screen or wall. People want the projector to be placed in an area where it will not be seen. Instead of putting the projector on a table, many people opt for hanging the projector from the ceiling with mounting equipment. This article is about how to hide a projector that is projected upward with using mounting equipment.

The first step in hiding your projector is making sure you know where you want it and what type of material will make the best screen for projection and what size you need (if applicable). Models vary; some projectors can be used on a table and others can only be used on a ceiling.

The next step is deciding how to mount your projector. The most common way people hang a projector is with mounts for ceiling speakers or to hold an electrical box. There are also many other mounts that you can use to hang your projector such as brackets, wire extenders, and levers. You will also have to decide if you want the whole unit or just the screen (what type of screen you want).

You will need hardware if you want to put it up on the ceiling. Some of this hardware is specific to lights; some of it is specific to spaces.
